Will I get a prescription?

The doctor decides during the visit, based on what you need.

Can they prescribe controlled medicines?

Only when the doctor considers it necessary and as the law allows. Some require a special prescription.

What do I need for a video call?

A phone or computer with a camera and internet. If you prefer, the visit can be a phone call.

Can I request a visit for someone else?

Yes. You can request it for someone you care for; the doctor speaks with the person receiving care.
